Knicks draw Celtics instead of Heat

Bad news Knicks fans -- you won't get a chance to play the choke artists from Miami.

Instead the Knicks will have to face the Boston Celtics, a team that has been to the NBA Finals in two of the last three seasons, including beating the L.A. Lakers in 2008.

The Knicks learned of the news last night, when the Miami Heat beat the Atlanta Hawks to clinch the number two seed in the conference. Miami will now play mediocre Philadelphia in the first round.

The Knicks are 0-3 against the Celtics this season, and have to play their season finale against Boston, before playing them again after a day off in the first round of the playoffs.

Even though New York has next to no shot against the Celtics, it should be nice to see the Knicks back in the playoffs with a legit ball club. That wasn't the case back in 2003 when they got swept out of the first round by the New Jersey Nets.

Prediction: Celtics in five.
