Packers File Tampering Charges on Vikings

The Green Bay Packers have filed a tampering charge against NFC North rival the Minnesota Vikings, after it was reserached and discovered that the Vikings were in contact, over the phone, with controversial and unhappy quaterback Brett Favre. STORY ON NFL.COM

Favre was in discussions with Vikings offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell, who spent five years with the Packers coaching staff.

Favre is still under contract with Green Bay for three years and $39 million. The Packers will not release Favre with the fear he will go to either Minnesota, or Chicago, or Detroit. Favre wants his realease, and has hinted that he will attend Packers camp to spite Aaron Rodgers and the ball club.

It's getting to the point that the Packers have to trade the former pro-bowler to an AFC team that the Packers do not see on the schedule.

BTW, in case your wondering the Packers and Vikings meet on to open the season on Monday Night Football at 7:00 on ESPN on September 8.
