Congratulations Mike Mussina!

There is nobody with more class in the game of baseball than Mike Mussina.

The veteran right-hander, who goes about his business quietly, won his 20th game of the 2008 season. It is the first time that Mussina has won 20 in his 18th year career with the Orioles and Yankees.

Mussina pitched six brilliant innings against the hated Boston Red Sox, surrendering only three hits in just 74 pitches.

Mariano Rivera, who has stirred up controversy over his mysterious shoulder injury, locked up the save for Mussina. It was Rivera's 39th.

The deciding runs came in the fourth inning as Xavier Nady blasted a three-run homerun to give New York a 3-0 lead. They won 6-2.

This is a bittersweet moment for a Yankee team that has played badly in 2008 and needs to regroup big time for 2009.
