Problems Exist In Jets Club House

Whoever the next Jets coach will be, he will have a lot of problems to work out on his hands, including club house quarrels if Brett Favre decides to wear a green and white jersey again next fall.

Pro-Bowl running back Thomas Jones ripped Favre on Hot 97 FM, saying that Favre was "jeopardizing the whole team because you're having a bad day. To me, that's not fair to everybody else. You're not the only one on the team. So when you get to the wire and somebody is just giving the game up, I mean, it's just not [fair]." (qtd by ESPN).

"If somebody is not playing well, they need to come out of the game."

Another player spoke up against Favre, but this person was smart enough to stay anonymous. The player was quoted as saying that Favre was unsocial and tried to seperate himself from his Jet teammates. "There was a lot of resentment in the room about him. He never socialized with us, never went to dinner with anyone."This was quoted in Newsday.

Obviously the players are not at all interested in seeing Favre return to the Jets, and these rumblings should make Favre's decision easier not to return. If he is not welcome, there is no reason for him to come back to the Jets. That might be the best thing for a new head coach, who would have to learn to live with Favre and his poorly thrown and ill-timed interceptions.
