Devils Dominate Panthers

DEVILS 7
PANTHERS 2
The New Jersey Devils continue on a roll as they trounced the Florida Panthers 7-2 in Newark, Saturday afternoon.
Martin Brodeur, making his second start since his return, had only 17 shots attempted at his net, where he recorded 15 saves.
The story of the day was the Devils offense. Already up 2-0 after the first period, the Devils put up four more in the second to obliterate the competition. In a span of 3:21 the Devils scored three goals. Travis Zajac scored on the power play to make it 4-0. Later, Brian Rolston and David Clarkson added two more to make it 6-0 Devils. The Panthers couldn't get out of New Jersey fast enough.
The Devils are now 40-19-3; it is their 12th straight year of 40 plus wins.
