Graves Gets Number Retired

New York Rangers great Adam Graves' number 9 was retired Tuesday night by the Rangers Hockey organization. The event occasioned a huge ceremony for the honoree at Madison Square Garden, joined by family and former teammates.

Graves helped end the Rangers 54 year Stanley Cup drought, as the Blue Shirts beat Vancouver in the 1994 Finals. He played 10 years with New York from 1991-2001. LISTEN TO GRAVES SPEECH!

As for the Rangers current team, they lost 2-1 to Atlanta. The Rangers did not lose ground to the Devils, who lost 5-2 to Washington tonight as well.
