Terrell Owens Signs With Buffalo Bills

This off-season the New England Patriots will be expecting Tom Brady to return, the New York Jets have strengthened up their defense with Bart Scott and Lito Sheppard, and the Miami Dolphins are hoping for similar success in 2009, but it might be the Buffalo Bills who have made biggest splash of the off-season.

Troubled wide receiver Terrell Owens is now a member of the Buffalo Bills. Now the AFC East is very interesting from top to bottom.

Owens and the Bills came to terms on a one-year contract worth $6.5 million, Saturday afternoon.

Having Owens on a one-year contract is a brilliant move. It means that T.O. will have no choice but to be on his best behavior if he wants to get a bigger contract come 2010. When T.O. is on his best behavior, the team wins.

T.O. will join a deep receiving corps. with Lee Evans, Rosco Parrish and Jeff Reed already in the mix. Add that to the power of Marshawn Lynch in the backfield and the gun of quarterback Trent Edwards, and the Bills, on paper, look like an explosive offense.

Buffalo is trying to recover from a terrible 3-7 finish to the 2008 season, after the team opened the season 5-1 and in control of the AFC East.
This is a big move, a bold move and a great move by the Bills.
