Johan Santana To Skip Next Start With Injury

Johan Santana is the latest member of the Mets to join the injury list.

After another embarassing loss to the Philadelphia Phillies, Mets manager Jerry Manuel announced to the media that Santana will miss his next start due to pain in his left elbow.

Santana has not thrown between starts since the All Star break, signaling that something has been wrong with the Mets ace. Santana has not been terrible since the break, going 3-2 in that time span, but he had only one dominating start, 7-0 win over the Rockies on July 30.

It is unknown whether Santana will start on Wednesday in Florida.
