Josh McDaniels Becomes 3rd Head Coach Fired This Year

The Denver Broncos have canned controversial head coach Josh McDaniels.

McDaniels was caught in Spygate II last week, when revelations came out that he had his staff video tape the practice of the San Francisco 49ers back in October.

That and the fact that the Broncos are a dreadful 3-9 in the mediocre AFC West was enough for owner Pat Bowlen to fire the former Patriots assistant.

Under McDaniels the Broncos are 11-17, but 5-17 after a 6-0 start to the 2009 season.

McDaniels is now the third head coach fired this season, behind Wade Phillips, Dallas, and Brad Childres, Minnesota.
