The Mets continue to stock pile on steady pitching. A couple weeks ago they signed former Brewer lefty Chris Capuano to a contract. Now they have signed former Padre Chris Young to a deal.
Young used to be a staff ace for the Padres, going 11-5 with a 3.46 ERA and 164 strikeouts in 2006 for San Diego.
However injuries robbed Young of his gifts the last three seasons, as he completely fell off the map.
It's a no risk move for the Mets who desperately need pitching. Maybe they got something here.
