Yankees ink Soriano to set up Rivera

The Yankees bullpen is starting to turn into the best in baseball.

The Yankees finalized a deal with former Tampa Bay Rays closer Rafael Soriano on a three year $35 million deal to be the set up man to Mariano Rivera this season.

Soriano has a buyout at the end of this year, if he wants to go somewhere else to be a closer. However it would behoove the Yankees to keep Soriano around for a while. Soriano could be the closer in waiting, because you never know when Rivera, 42, will begin to show his age.

Soriano will now join former Met lefty Pedro Feliciano in the Yankee bullpen. The Yankees can feature Feliciano, Joba Chamberlain, Soriano and Rivera in that order -- pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty good.
