Rangers & fans eat their words, as Capitals storm back to win

CAPITALS 4
RANGERS 3
Double Overtime

For a few days Ranger fans were upset that Washington Capitals head coach Bruce Boudreau said that Ranger fans are not very loud in Madison Square Garden. The rip on Ranger fans and the Garden seemed to light a fire in the hockey team, as the Blue Shirts grabbed a 3-0 lead on the Washington Capitals in game four, and looked poised to tie the series.

The fans at the Garden then started chanting "Can you hear us," which was directed at Boudreau. Maybe Ranger fans should have kept their mouths shut, because it ignited a fire in the Capitals.

Alexander Semin scored early in the third period to end the shutout, then Marcus Johansson put the dagger in the Rangers hearts, scoring two third period goals to tie the game and force overtime.

After both teams failed to score in the first overtime, the Captials finally won it on a goal by Jason Chimera, who snuck it behind Henrik Lundqvist to win the game and put the Rangers on the doorstep of an abysmal finish to their season.

Looks like we will be done with hockey in New York, and not a moment too soon.
