Pillar suffered multiple facial fractures

Kevin Pillar will meet with a facial specialist in Atlanta, according to a Press Release by the New York Mets.

The news comes after last night's hideous moment when Pillar was drilled in the face with a 95 mph fastball from Jacob Webb. Pillar crumpled to the ground after getting hit and had blood gushing out of his nose.

The incident was so shocking that it appeared to rattle Webb, who was removed from the game and sat on the bench in tears as he was clearly playing the moment back and forth in his head.

According to the Mets, Pillar suffered multiple facial fractures as a result of the hit by pitch.

Pillar did Tweet out that he was fine, and thanked everyone for the well wishes.

Pillar joins a growing list of 13 Mets who find themselves on the Injury List as play begins today.
