Rutgers offense continued its explosive start to the 2025 season, as the Scarlet Knights rolled up 45 points, and quarterback Athan Kaliakmanis continues to deliver dimes as Rutgers slammed Miami of Ohio 45-17 en route to a 2-0 start.
"He's repeating, it's not like we reinvent our offense everyday. It's cumulative repetitions of doing the same thing everyday," Head Coach Greg Schiano said of his offense's efficiency.

Rutgers offense rolled up 421 yards of total offense with 31 first downs, and held the football for nearly 40 minutes. Rutgers seemed to do just about whatever it wanted to on the offensive side of the ball.
Kaliakmanis was fantastic; throwing for four touchdowns and 259 yards on 26 completions in 36 attempts. Meanwhile Rutgers utilized four players o rush for a combined 162 yards on the ground with Antwan Raymond leading the way with 82 yards on 13 carries.
Ian Strong put up another big effort with 116 yards receiving and two scores.
Rutgers didn't waste much time getting on the scoreboard when Kaliakmanis and Strong connected for the first time on a 14-yard pass completion to give RU a 7-0 lead.
Later in the first half, an interception by Rutgers safety Bo Mascoe was returned 68-yards to the Miami-Ohio 12-yards line. Three plays later, Raymond plowed in from two-yards out to give Rutgers a 17-7 advantage.
Much like the Ohio Bobcats did against Rutgers last week, the Red Hawks stormed back and cut the Rutgers lead to seven, 24-17 in the third quarter. Schiano admitted afterwards that his defense, which gave up 368 total yards is still a work in progress.
"We haven't had enough practices with these new guys on the defense. I was proud of the way they locked in, and the way they got stops," Schiano said.
Rutgers would answer the Miami-Ohio challenge by scoring on its next three possessions to put the game away.
Rutgers continues it's long four-game home stand next week when they welcome in Head Coach Michael Vick (that's right the same Micahel Vick) and Norfolk State.
