What had to add insult to injury for the Yankees was the fact that Chisholm collided with outfielder Jasson Dominguez on a pop fly in the outfield. Chisholm left under concussion protocol. We'll know more about his status on Tuesday.
What a disaster. The Yankees who have struggled against the A.L. East, were 14-4 against teams from the A.L. Central entering Monday's game against Detroit. The Yankees have lost five in a row, while the Rays have won five in a row, and now lead the Yankees by 1.5 games in the East.
