Halladay Masters Yankees, As Always

BLUE JAYS 5
YANKEES 0
It seems whenever the Blue Jays and Yankees meet up, and Roy Halladay is pitching for Toronto, he masters the Yankees.

Well once again, Halladay was at it again, shutting out the Yankees for a complete game two hitter. Halladay, who might be someone many teams will target as the last big ace left before the July 31 trade deadline is now 11-6, with a 2.71 ERA, in his final start before the All - Star Game, Tuesday.

Offensivley the Jays got all they needed in the thrid inning, when Lyle Overbay drove home Andy Lind with a single up the middle. Later Matt Stairs grounded into a force place to bring home Joe Inglett.

Finally in the sixth Rod Barajas blasted a solo homerun off of Joba Chamberlin to give the Jays a 3-0 lead.

Chamberlin was once again shaky, throwing 108 pitches in six and two-thirds innings.

Finally in the eighth, the Jays finished off the Bombers. With Overbay on second, Stair lifted a homerun to right center field to give the Jays the 5-0 lead.
