Overwieght pitcher C.C. Sabathia will now join the NL Wild Card leading Milwaukee Brewers according to sources.The 290 pound righty, who will be a free agent at the end of the season is 6-8 on the year with a 3.83 ERA with the terrible Cleveland Indians.
In exchange for Sabathia the Indians will get top prospect Matt LaPorta.
In a season dominated by the Tampa Bay Rays, the Brewers have been putting together a miraculous season this year. Last year they blew a big lead in the central to miss the playoffs, and got off to a slow start in 2008, but have gotten hot in the last three weeks to take the wild card lead from the St. Louis Cardinals.
