What A Shock! Favre Will Compete for Job

Well, well, well, no surprise here at all, the Packers are ready to welcome Brett Favre back with open arms.

Here is a quote from a story on Yahoo. "Packers coach Mike McCarthy said he hasn’t decided what direction his quarterback situation will take. Given Favre’s track record of waffling on his football future, McCarthy first wants to talk to Favre on Monday before he makes any decision on opening the job up to competition."

"Although we built this year around the assumption that Brett meant what he said about retiring, Brett is coming back,” said team president and CEO Mark Murphy. “We will welcome him back and turn this situation to our advantage.”

In other words the conversation between Favre and the Packers might go a little something like this: "Kiss, Kiss, we are sorry Brett for miscommunicating. Do you still love us?"
A teary eyed Favre "Yes I accept your apoligy. I just want to be a Packer for the rest of my life."

There will be sobbing and hugging as the Packers make Favre their starting quaterback again, and Aaron Rodgers gets the boot in the butt and is sent packing either to be traded or released.

Don't buy for a minute longer that Favre will be traded to Minnesota, or the Jets or Bucs. Don't buy for a minute that he will be released, or accept $20 million to stay away forever. Favre will be the Packers quaterback on opening night on September 8, when the Packers play host to the Minnesota Vikings.
