Rosenfels Coughs It Up For Texans

COLTS 31
TEXANS 27

In what turned out to be the game of the day, the Houston Texans blew a 27-10 lead late in the fourth quarter to lose to the struggling Indianapolis Colts 31-27 in a shocking state of events. WATCH VIDEO!!!!

Sage Rosenfels, who was starting for Houston because starting quarterback Matt Schaub had a mysterious viral infection, was the main reason why the Texans lost this game.

The Colts had just moved down the field to score what appeared to be a meaningless touchdown to cut Houston's lead to 27-17; then, it got really crazy.

On a key third down, Rosenfels decided to pull a John Elway when he tried to run and leap for a first down. Rosenfels was hit in mid-air, spun around like a top and dropped the ball as he came crashing to the ground. Garry Brackett picked up the ball and took it into the endzone for the touchdown to put Indinapolis back in the game at 27-24.

On the next Houston possession, Rosenfels was sacked by Robert Mathis. The hit was so fierce that Rosenfels fumbled the ball and it was recoverd by Indianapolis at the Houston 21 yard line.

Peyton Manning heaved the ball up for Reggie Wayne on the next play for the touchdown.

On Houston's last chance, Rosenfels threw an interception to ice it for Indy.

The Colts did nothing to win this game; they were totally dominated at the line of scrimmage. Steve Slaton of Houston rushed for 93 yards on the Colts defense. The Colts offense couldn't move the football at all for most of the game. Manning spent most of his time shaking his head in disgust on the sidelines, yet the Texans and Rosenfels let the Colts off the hook.

Indy should be kissing the ground they walk on.
