Despite the Loss, Giants Win NFC East

Even though they lost to the Philadelphia Eagles this afternoon, the Giants later found out that they had clinched the NFC East title when the Dallas Cowboys lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers, 20-13.

The Cowboys loss put them three games behind New York with three to play, which was enough for the G-Men to clinch.

The Giants still have the inside track at clinching the NFC's number one seed and a bye if they take care of business next week against the Cowboys in Dallas.

This is the Giants second division title under coach Tom Coughlin. They last won the division in 2005 but were ousted by the Carolina Panthers in the first round of the playoffs. Last year, the Giants won the Super Bowl as a wild card team.
