Reyes Has Torn Hamstring

Jose Reyes is not getting any better. After initially suffering a calf injury that put the All Star shortstop on the DL two weeks ago, a new MRI has revealed a small tear in Reyes' hamstring tendon.

Right now surgery is not an option; the Mets will sit Reyes for two days before restarting his rehab assignments in the minor leagues. However, hamstring injuries are tricky; the Mets could make Reyes' injury worse if they rush him back.
