Yankees Continue To Stink It Up

ANGLES 11
YANKEES 4

There are few guarentees in life. One is that you will die; another is that you will be taxed to death, and a third is that the Yankees will always lose to the Anahiem Angles.

The Angles stormed back to blow out the Bronx Bombers to take the second game of a three game set by a score of 11-4. The Angles won Friday's game 5-3.

The biggest concern coming into the game was the fact that the Yankees were starting the horrible Dan Giese, but he did a decent job, going six innings with one run against him. The problem today was a bullpen that gave up 10 runs in the final two innings of the game. Wow, and I thought politicans lying about sex, and finding a way to get away with it was easy. Oh well!

With the Yankees up 3-1 going into the seventh, it completely fell apart. Jose Veras gave up two runs on three hits in the inning, and this was the most decent performance for the Yankee pen today. First Garrett Anderson homered to deep right center to get Anahiem to within one. Later, Mike Napoli homered for the 13th time this season to tie the game at three.

In the eighth Edwar Ramirez and David Robertson combined to give up eight runs on eight hits, as the Angles rocked the Yankees.

First, Vladimir Gurrero homered to right to give the Angels a 4-3 lead. Later Anderson drove home Tori Hunter with a RBI single to make it 5-3. Juan Rivera than doubled in Anderson and Howie Kendrick to make it 7-3. At this point the Yankees were screaming UNCLE, but no one would listen.

With Gary Matthews Jr. and Napoli on base, Chone Figgins drove in Matthews Jr. to make it 8-3. Napoli would score next after a wild pitch by Robertson; and Macier Izturis would drive home Figgins to make it 10-3 with a single up the middle. Finally, Gurrero added another RBI with a single to drive home Izturis.

The Yankees are now a whopping seven games behind the Rays for first, and four back of the Red Sox for the Wild Card. I think they are done on this side - flip them over!!! BOXSCORE.
